E trade

I opened an Etrade account and already lost $55.  They say you can trade for free for 60 days, so I started buying and selling not realizing there is still a $10 commission each time you buy and sell.  How can I make money if I have to pay $20 for each trade I make?  And what is the monthly fee?  I should find this stuff out.

I bought a book about trading on Etrade.  It’s a national bestseller.

I’m thinking of investing in bonds instead.  It’s slightly more secure than stocks.  And eventually I want to open a Roth IRA.  I hope to slowly build up my portfolio so that way when I get older, I can live off the interest from all my investments.  But I’m going to need a lot of investments.

If I buy a bond at 8% for $50,000., I’ll only be getting $4,000 a year.  But if I have that along with an IRA coupled with a few wise stock investments, my portfolio will start looking pretty strong.

Wow I can’t believe I’m actually planning stuff.  I know what a blue chip means and a high cap.  Last year I was completely destitute and now I’m investing, exercising and planning for college!  It’s completely unbelievable how much can change in one year.  If you known me last summer, you would know what I’m talking about.

I gotta go.  3 more clients and I’m done.

Thanks Steph! I just found out I can edit people’s comments. You originally wrote 360 (full circle) so I fixed it. I don’t like that I can edit comments. That doesnt seem right.

LOL I thought that it was 180 and not 360 so that is funny.
